Obituary for Nicole Renee Boettcher

Nicole (Nicky) Renee Boettcher age 45 of Black River Falls WI passed away June 18, 2019 in her home.

She was born December 2, 1973 in Osseo WI to Robin Boettcher who then married David Klinkenberg in 1976.

Early years Nicky spent her childhood at her grandparent’s farm in Taylor and then moved to the farm in Blair with her mom and dad, where she grew up with her siblings helping her mom and dad on the farm raising cows. She loved helping feed the baby calves and playing with the farm cats and dogs.

Nicky graduated from Holmen High School in 1995. She enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of the Special Olympics where she learned so many great things on being part of a great team.

Nicky loved spending time with her family. She really loved going in the semi with her mom traveling to different locations. She loved watching the Green Bay Packers and WWE Wrestlers with her grandpa Lloyd.

Nicky moved into the Halcyon House in 1996 where she currently resided. They welcomed her with open arms and were her second family that meant the world to her. She also was involved with The Connection in Black River Falls where she spent time with friends doing arts and crafts and many other fun things with them. She also worked at Riverfront doing a variety of jobs, which included working for Black River Memorial Hospital in the Recycling Department. Nicky was also employed at Denny’s in Black River where she worked on the weekends.

She is survived by her mother: Robin (formerly Kneifl) Sanders (step-father Elmer “JR” Sanders) of Taylor, WI; father: David Klinkenberg (step-mother Mary Klinkenberg) of Blair, WI; siblings: Kathy Cuchna (fiancé Tab Gunderson) of Onalaska, WI, Lisa (Shawn) Dismuke of Oklahoma City, OK, Stacy (William) Wittkowske, and Shelly Klinkenberg both of Blair, WI; step-brothers: Jason Mudrick of Minnesota, and Nathan (Courtney) Mudrick of Chippewa Falls, WI; step-sister, Lori (Brent) Johnson of Sparta; step-grandparent: Roy Fonstad of Holmen, WI; nephew: Ryan (Bethanie) Parker; nieces: Katelyn Parker, Chelsie Cuchna and Faith Olson. She is further survived by her Halcyon family Staci & Mark; a special person also who means the world to her, Karen Grennell, the amazing staff that took great care of her, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extend family and close friends.

She was preceded in death by William (Bill) Kneifl, Lloyd and Pearl Klinkenberg, Gordie and Joan Simonson, Andy Kneifl & Mary Fonstad.

Services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Blair Lutheran Church, 419 Urberg Street, Blair with Vicar Paul Sannerud officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, 128 S. Hoffman St., Hixton and again on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery, rural Taylor.
